It has been brought to the attention of the Archdiocese of Bombay that certain groups and individuals are unhappy that Cardinal has not intervened in the issue of the allegations made against a Bishop in South India.
The Church has clear norms and procedures with regards to the appointment and removal of officials appointed to ecclesiastical offices.
According to Canon Law, the Archbishop of Bombay and the President of the CBCI has no jurisdiction in the matter.
