"MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN" We, the twelve retreatants, of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Orlem, Malad, in the Archdiocese of Bombay, felt blessed as we encountered Spiritual healing through the resourceful preaching by Sr. Lorna, Fr. Jose and Fr. Tony., at Atmadarshan on 7th, 8th & 9th October 2022.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God". 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. We felt enlightened and encouraged to face the future with hope as we journey with the Hope & Life Association as widows. Despite our anxieties and worries, a widow is reminded and assured that Jesus is our true companion in the absence of our spouse, guiding and protecting us through the power of the Holy Spirit who strengthens us to face challenges in the storms of life.
Life has two Constants. the time we come (BIRTH) and the time we go (DEATH). Everything in between is in our own hands. We are the architects of our own Destiny. God has blessed us with a beautiful and purposeful life. "Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart". Psalms 37:4.
Let us pledge to manifest help to our troubled sisters, give a listening ear, a warm touch, extend a sensitive and helping hand and radiate love to the needy so as to make this world a beautiful place to live in.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3: 17.
