On April 8, 2018, we will celebrate the feast of Divine Mercy, a feast instituted by St John Paul II for the Sunday after Easter. Very appropriately, the Novena for the feast of Divine Mercy begins on Good Friday, the day we spend reflecting on the Passion and Death of our Lord.
For nine days after Good Friday, we continue to reflect on our Lord’s merciful bounty towards us. Each of us continues to experience God’s mercy in numberless ways every moment of our lives.
I recommend that on the weekend of April 7 and 8, our homilies could focus on God’s mercy towards us. May the Lord continue to shower his abundant blessings and mercy on all of us: the Archdiocese of Bombay: all our families and the Bishops, Priests, Religious and Laity of the Archdiocese.
A Happy Feast to each one of you.
