The month of September is a time of pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount at Bandra Mumbai 400050.
On 6th September 2022 the Widows of Our Lady of Lourdes Church Orlem, Malad ,beckoned by the sweetness and tenderness of our dear Mama Mary, went on a pilgrimage to the Mount. Our hearts were filled with the hope of finding solace, peace and attaining blessings.
It was indeed a great feeling to attend the mass celebrated by Rev.Fr. Joe Pereira who was also celebrating his 80th birthday. A prayerful service with the choir rendering the most beautiful hymns to Mother Mary.
The mass was followed by a photo session where we got an opportunity to pose with Bishop John Rodrigues and Fr. Joe Pereira.
Bishop John shared an inspiring message encouraging us to carry on, on our journey with courage and hope. This special feature really made our pilgrimage a memorable one. There after we were treated to tea and snacks.
One can certainly not return without visiting a few stalls with yummy and tantalizing kadiobodios, halwa, black gram etc., a feast for our taste buds.
We returned safely with much peace and thanksgiving in our hearts.
