Motto
Building Up The Body of Christ
Symbolism
As wheat grains are transformed at the Eucharist, so also the members of the Church grow to be the Body of Christ in the world, radiating the compassion of their crucified Saviour, for "...the saints together make a unity in the work of service, building up the body of Christ." ; the green leaves of the open book represent the study and teaching of theology as well as the role of the bishop as teacher of faith; the whole of creation is called to give glory to God (golden arc).
