SSC 2017 – THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

“One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world!” – MalalaYousafzai

Of the 128 SSC Board of Education schools in the Archdiocese of Bombay (AOB), affiliated to the Archdiocesan Board of Education (ABE), 94% (i.e. 120 schools) achieved results in the 95 – 100% bracket – a highly commendable outcome for the children who have now completed their schooling.

What makes this feat more remarkable is that in most of our schools we follow the principle of ‘leave no child behind’. We encourage all children to appear for the SSC Board Exams and not just those whom the management feels would be able to succeed. It has always been the commitment of the Archdiocese to educate and provide an opportunity to those who have none, in the firm belief that such education provides the best platform for equality, mutual respect and advancement. Many of the children who walk through the doors of our schools have come from disadvantaged backgrounds, or are entry level learners, and we know that education will give them an opportunity to dream and hope.

It is, therefore, with great pride that we watch our students gain in knowledge, ethical standards and belief in themselves, as they step forward equipped to face the future.

We have given our children the tools and the values which will be their impetus and their shield in a highly competitive world, and we now pray for their success and safety.
