Doctorate of letters for Fr. (Dr) George Kaitholil

In recognition of his contribution to literature through his numerous books, Fr George Kaitholil, a member of the Society of St Paul and author of nearly 80 books and hundreds of articles on various topics, has been chosen to receive the Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England.

Born in South India, Fr George did his secular and priestly studies in India, Italy and Germany. He has been the General Editor of St Paul Publications and Better Yourself Books for two terms, in addition to being the Editor of the popular youth magazine, The Teenager, for a short while. He is specially known for his Target Series, consisting of 12 very popular titles. Available in eight languages, Dr Kaitholil’s books have sold more than two and a half million copies worldwide. Many of his books have also gone into several editions.

Informing Dr George of his being chosen to receive the Doctorate, the Director General of IBC wrote, “I am delighted to inform you that you have been chosen to receive — entirely on merit — the Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England. Only a select few have been honoured with this prestigious Doctorate, and it clearly reflects the recognition of your lifetime achievements.”
