Bible Exhibition - Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Ambernath
Oct. 1, 2017
The Bible cell of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Ambarnath organised a Bible Exhibition on 30th September & 1st October 2017 in view of their Golden Jubilee celebration of the establishment of the Church. This Exhibition was set up by the Archdiocesan Bible Committee headed by Fr. Walter D’souza and it was one of a kind exhibition. The Parish was informed that the inauguration of the exhibition was at Our Lady of Fatima Parish and hence it made us feel special and honoured.
The exhibition consisted of 33 meaningful images and it aimed to take the parishioners on a journey as to ‘HOW WE GOT THE BIBLE’. These images were aesthetically placed in a well decorated hall in the Church Premises. The gates were opened after the Holy Mass and parishioners queued and followed a path that was carefully paved within the exhibition arena.
The immediate reaction of the participants was very positive; they found it unique, highly informative & surprisingly self-explanatory. The entire Parish community was present at this exhibition. Even the Sunday school students accompanied and guided by their teachers walked through this display, trying to comprehend the meaning behind the colourful icons.
The exhibition was very well received, attended in large numbers and highly appreciated. Participants described this exhibition saying it was as if, the entire Holy Bible flashed chronologically in their minds through revealing posters that were sequentially set. Others appreciated the creativity and the seamless way the scriptures could be explained.
All and all, the First Bible Exhibition was a success and the overwhelming response only proves that such engaging events are more than welcome in future. Fatima Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lancelot along with Bible Cell Core team members (Mrs. Lorna Samuel, Mr. Dominic Dsouza, Mrs. Wilma Cardoz, Annette, McQueen & Dominic Sabhnani) wish to thank Rev. Fr. Walter Dsouza, Bible Committee, Diocese of Bombay, for his full support and Spiritual guidance in making this event a great success.
We wish for him God's Richest Blessings as he shares his wisdom to bring the Glorious Good News to His precious children in and around Bombay Diocese.
